Chef Radek Cerny Opens The Full Belly Bistro in Boulder
March 10, 2009 by: Greg McGuire
Long time Colorado chef Radek Cerny opened The Full Belly Bistro recently in Boulder. The new establishment features breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, and the average menu item is in the $8 – $12 range.
This is a new direction for critically acclaimed Chef Cerny, whose previous projects have won the praise of Denver and Boulder foodies for 20 years. Well known fine dining restaurants like Papillon and Le Chantecler won Cerny many fans, and L’Atelier, the current venue for his culinary artistry, has become a fixture of the fine dining scene since its opening in 2003.
The former refugee from communist Czechoslovakia received culinary training before emigrating to the United States. He first pursued a career in bluegrass music in Nashville before “returning to the spatula,” a choice that propelled him to great success as a purveyor of rich and complex French style cuisine.
Full Belly hopes to become the perfect answer to customers worried about economics but still wanting to savor the flavors of signature Cerny American-French hybrid cuisine. Give Full Belly a taste at 2779 Iris Avenue, Boulder, CO.
