Some Great Recipes For Special Ties
April 23, 2009 by: Greg McGuire
Get a free cookbook full of great recipes from Tundra employees. Give a little to Special Ties. Everyone wins!
The Back Burner is written by the employees and friends of Tundra Specialties in Boulder, CO. And while we usually try to make this blog as informative as possible without imposing our brand on the information, sometimes there’s just going to have to be an exception.
Don’t worry, we’re not going to suddenly turn this thing into a diatribe about how great Tundra is (although we’re confident we are pretty sweet). Instead, we’d like to simply mention a great idea one of our employees had a while back that has come to fruition.
The Tundra Cookbook is a collection of recipes gathered from all of the employees at Tundra. It’s available as a free e-book that you can download. We hope you enjoy these recipes. And if you feel so inclined, and we hope you do, donate some money to Special Ties, a charity operated by Tundra that serves many good causes in the Boulder community.
In the past Special Ties has donated time to the The Boulder Shelter for the Homeless and the Women’s Shelter, and money to charitable organizations like:
Tundra has always felt strongly about giving back. We hope you’ll help us with that, and enjoy some great recipes along the way. Check out the Tundra Cookbook here. Thanks!

To Dan from Shipping:
I made your “Killer Conqueso” last night! Man, that stuff IS KILLER! I loved it.
I am surprised they allow you make something that good in Bolder. I sure hope you don’t get caught with a bowl of that stuff when the Bolder food police come calling!
Thank You, I will now dub it “Kevin’s Killer Conqueso” and spend hours telling my friends how many hours and days of trial and error I spent in perfecting the recipe!
Kevin Loving
Galveston, Texas (where we always add a “story” (otherwise known as BS) with our food!)
As one of the contributors of the cookbook, I have to say there are some great recipes in the cookbook. Everyone out there should download a copy of the cookbook. Your sure to find some surprises in there and as Kevin found, a recipe or two that will become an instant favor.
If you do enjoy it, pass it along to everyone on your email list. Don’t they deserve the best too? And take a moment to make a donation to Special Ties, or order one of the other cookbooks listed in Cooking With Tundra. All the proceeds from those sales go to Special Ties.
Enjoy the cookbook and happy cooking!!!!
